California’s Appliance Efficiency Regulations
Did you know many appliances are regulated under Title 20
and must be certified to the California Energy Commission(CEC)
to be sold or distributed in the state?
And that everyone in the sales chain - including Manufacturers,
Distributors and Retailers - is responsible for ensuring these
products are listed in the CEC Appliance Efficiency Database?

Energy Code Ace is pleased to announce the launch of its
Title 20 On-Demand Video Training series
The initial launch of our Title 20 Appliance Efficiency curriculum focuses on the essentials
manufacturers need to know to use the California Energy Commission’s newly released Modernized
Appliance Efficiency Database System (MAEDBS). Over time, we anticipate the curriculum will grow to
include modules for thirdparty certifiers, test labs, retailers, distributors and consumers. We will also be
developing other types of class formats, such as Traditional Classroom and Virtual Classes.
