Job Description
The New Business Sales Representative primary job responsibilities are to generate net new business
from organizations having requirements for the Company’s solutions and not currently a customer. The
New Business Sales Rep’s account assignment will be opportunities generally within a specific vertical
alignment. The virtualization process will shorten the industry knowledge learning curve and provide
useful continuity.
New Business Sales Representative is responsible for formulating a sales strategy and managing the
sales campaigns into new accounts, leveraging the existing successes of similar current customers. They
will work cooperatively with Business Development in developing strategies to add opportunities to the
sales funnel. New Business Sales Representatives will maintain account ownership for a specified period
after the initial sale at which time the account will transition Customer Account Management team.
New Business Sales Representatives will be required to develop an annual business plan and provide
quarterly updates.
Monthly revenue forecast, sales pipeline dynamics, and opportunity progression within the pipeline is
required.
The position will have two elements constituting the On-Target-Earning (OTE) a base salary and an
incentive. The incentive portion of the On-Target-Earning (OTE) will be a function of attainment against
quota assignment.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the technology space preferably in a SaaS environment.
Demonstrate capabilities such as leading a professional sales campaign where the objectives are
defined, milestone of achievement are mutually agreed upon, thus making outcomes are more
predictability. Experience at mapping the political landscape within a company and calculating the
probabilities of success.
Worked in an environment where you were required to understand the sales cycle from the
opportunities perspective, influence the sales cycle, and ultimately articulate why we are aligned and
why we should invest company resources pursuing a specific opportunity. Great presentation skills,
customer relationship skills and attention to details are paramount. The job also requires you to work as
part of a team so interdepartmental relationship skills are required.
Earnings opportunity
OTE is $190-$210k based upon previous experience.
