RetinaWorldCongressScientificVideoAbstractGuidelines
ThescientificplanningcommitteeoftheinauguralRetinaWorldCongress(RWC)isseeking
submissionsofscientificvideoabstractstobeconsideredforpresentation.DuringRWC,
multimediasessionswillhighlightinnovativetechniquesanduniquecases,andsubmitting
scientificvideoabstractswillgiveattendeesachanceatpresentingbeforeaprestigious,
internationalaudience.

Videoswillbesubmittedforpeerreviewandselection,whichwillbebasedonthefollowing
criteria:
• UniqueContent
• Quality
• Interestlevel
SubmissionRequirements:
• ThedesignatedpresenterofthevideoselectedmustregisterforandattendRWC2017
forpresentationanddiscussion.
• Theabstractmustcontainoriginalwork,notpublished,submittedforpresentationata
meetingofanothernationalorinternationalscientificorganization,orsubmittedfor
publicationatthetimeofthissubmission.
• Themaximumlengthofvideopresentationsis4minutes.
• VideosmaybeformattedinMPEG,AVI,WMV,orQuickTime(MOV),nosmallerthanfull
screen(640x480pixelsor720x820pixels)withamaximumresolutionof1280x720
pixels.
• Acceptablefilesize:upto4.7GB.
• DONOTuseDivXcompression.
• Videosmustbeintheirfinal,editedform,withnarrationinEnglish
• Videosshouldincludeabriefintroductionduringwhichallauthorsarecreditedandany
andallcommercialinterestisacknowledged.Commercialdisclosureisrequiredevenif
theauthorhasnofinancialinterest.
-Asareminder,theACCMEdefinescommercialinsterestsasanyentityproducing,marketing,
reselling,ordistributinghealthcaregoodsandservicesconsumedby,orusedon,patients.
Commercialsupportisfinancial,orin-kind,contributionsgivenbyacommercialinterestthatis
usedtopayallorpartofthecostsofaCMEactivity.
• Althoughdisclosureswillbemade,videosareNOTtopromotetheuseofany
commercialproduct.
• Pleaseensurethatyouhavepermissiontouseanyimagepresentedaspartofthevideo.
Thisincludesalicenseforcopyrightedmaterialandreleaseformsfromanypatient(s)
recognizableinthevideo.
• Useofcopyrightedmusicormaterialsisforbiddenwithoutwrittenauthorization.By
submittingyourvideoundertheseinstructions,yourepresentthatyouhaveordonot
needsuchauthorizationandyouagreetoindemnifyanddefendRWCfromallclaims
basedoncopyrightinfringement.
RWCwillsendconfirmationsofreceiptofvideos.AuthorswillreceiveanapprovalordenialemailnotificationbySeptember1,2016.
