Dear colleagues!
The Organizing Committee invites you to take part in the X International Conference “Maritime
industry, transport and logistics in the Baltic Sea Region states”, that will be held on 29 – 31 of May, 2012
in Svetlogorsk, the resort town on the Baltic seaside of Kaliningrad region.
The conference will provide plenary, breakout sessions and round tables. The working languages of
the conference are Russian and English.
Conference activities will be divided into the following sessions:
Section I. Study, development and implementation of “high technologies” in the maritime industry and
fishery complex.
Section II. Maritime security and modern GIS technologies in maritime industry.
Section III. Shipbuilding and shiprepair.
Section IV. Quality management systems and ensuring the reliability of marine and port facilities.
Section V. Economics and organization of industrial production in the coastal regions.
Section VI. Transport and logistics in the Baltic Sea Region.
Section VII. Environmental, preventing and responding to emergencies monitoring systems.
Section VIII. Educational technologies in engineers training.
Section IX. Intelligent systems for decisions development and support.
It is planned to organize a specialized exhibition of instruments and equipment for environmental
monitoring during the conference.
Applications for participating and abstracts shall be submitted in English or Russian in electronic
form for consideration to the Conference Secretariat until January 15, 2012.

Confirmation of abstracts acceptance will be sent until February 15, 2012.
The full report is submitted to the organizing committee until April 15, 2012.
The abstract should not exceed one (A4) page, the volume of the report of 8 pages.
Requirements for abstracts and papers submission: all margins – 2,5 cm, font - Times New
Roman Cyr, normal, 15 pt, indent – 1 cm, full justification with hyphenation, spacing – 1.5. Text title: font
– Times New Roman Cyr, semibold, in bold capitals 16 pt, centered, single spacing between paper title and
authors’ names. Authors’ names of the paper (including academic degree, position, affiliation and e-mail
address): font – Times New Roman Cyr, normal, 15 pt, centered, in the following order: the first name,
surname, organization, city, country, e-mail; single spacing between authors’ names and annotation.
Annotation (in Russian or in English): font – Times New Roman Cyr, italic, 12 pt, full justification, indent
– 1 cm, double spacing after the annotation text. Figures presented in any graphic editor should have an
informative title below, centered, font – Times New Roman Cyr, italic, 12 pt,; double-spacing after the
paper text. Reference title: font – Times New Roman Cyr, in bold capitals 12 pt, centered. Literature
reference text: font – Times New Roman Cyr, normal, 14 pt, full justification, indent – 1 cm.
Registration fee (200 €) for participants of the conference covers organization costs, conference
proceedings, interpreter’s service for reporters, coffee-breaks, lunches, final dinner after the conference
closing, cultural program. Travel and accommodation costs are at the participant’s expense.
Information letter № 2 with an official invitation to the participants (for visa in Russia), the
conference program and other necessary information will be sent no later than March 15, 2012.
