Reverse engineering a mechanical component requires an accurate
3D measurement with enough detail for it to be reproduced into a CAD
model. At ECM our state-of-the-art technology can digitize large and
small objects with speed and accuracy. The captured data points are
used to create a digital model within a reverse engineering software
solution. ECM has the experience, skills, and equipment to create
highly accurate CAD models and drawings from point clouds and scan
data. ECM’s design staff routinely makes 3D CAD models for reverse
engineering and as-built applications. We’ve completed work for
customers in aerospace, automotive, power generation, medical, to

Calibration and Instrument Repair

Field Metrology Services

Training and Certification Courses
ECM is proud to announce a new partnership as the sole North
American training provider for the National Physical Laboratory
(NPL). NPL is assigned to research innovative new measurement

ECM is now offering several training and certification courses in the
field of metrology. These courses include topics ranging from
basic blue print reading, to advanced GD&T; portable metrology, to
reverse engineering; hardware maintance, to a variety of software
training options.

Three dimensional modeling and animated walk-through videos can
be created to emphasize key characteristics of as-built conditions.
