Important Dates for October/November
October 30—Halloween Parade & Party @2:00
Nov. 13—No School
Nov. 20—Report Cards go home
Nov. 23-27—Thanksgiving Break
Dear Parents:
Trick or treat, ready or not 1st trimester is almost over. Report cards will go
home on Friday, November 20th. The students have been working so hard this
year, and they are all making great progress. Please continue to help me teach
your child responsibility by making sure they return their homework packets on
Mondays and their library books on Tuesdays.
Friday is Halloween. Here are the main rules about Halloween at Johnson.
 Parade will start at 2:00 PM. Depending on the weather the parade may be
inside or outside. The party will immediately follow the parade.
 Children do not wear their costumes to school. They will put them on in
the afternoon before the parade. They should bring their costumes in their
backpacks or in a back to school.
 No weapons of any kind are allowed as part of a costume.
 If your child does not celebrate Halloween there will be a classroom where
they can go during the parade and party. Please send a note to let me know
that you would like your child to not be a part of the parade/party.
 Only parents that are signed up will be allowed to attend the party. Siblings
are asked not to attend the party if you are volunteering.
 If your child will be going home a different way please send a note. If you
are volunteering I assume your child will go with you so I don’t need a note.
Again if you need anything please call, send a note or email me at
charles.corbett@cusd200.org Remember clocks get set back this Saturday
night. Thank you and have a great week!
Mr. Corbett
