Bullying Project and Presentation
Directions: You will be working in groups to create a project and presentation surrounding bullying to meet the
learning target 8M4: Research and explain bullying; as well as school policies related to bullying, cyber-bulling,
harassment, and intimidation. Groups will have 3 days to work; then at the beginning of class the following day
presentations will begin. Groups will be randomly selected to present; those which are not done/ready when
called will lose 30% of the points possible.
Requirements:
 All group members must participate in the planning, research, design, and presentation
 Use at least 4 cited sources (MLA format) to add credibility to your project
 Total presentations should be 10-15 minutes long
 Be creative! Don’t be afraid to inset your style and humor into the project
 Minimum Requirements (depending on the mode of presentation you choose):
o Powerpoint/Prezi: At least 10 slides (not including the cover pg. or citations).
o Interviews: At least 5 people, video recorded
o Videos: At least 7 minutes of actual content about the topic (bloopers, commercials, etc. are
welcomed but will not count towards time minimum)
o Skit: Write and perform a live skit about your topic, The skit should be 7 minutes minimum
Each category will be given a score from 0-5. See rubric for specifics (70 points possible). In addition to the
score I give you, you will be grading your team members on their teamwork during the work days and their
performance during the presentation (30 points possible).
Possible Project Topics:
1. CMC School Policy – What is it now; what is included, does the consequences fit the actions, how
should we rewrite it, is it enforced?
2. Bullying: Physical and Mental Abuse – Is bullying physical or mental abuse? When does and when
should someone step in? What should they do?
3. Bullying: Victim’s and Bully’s POV – What does it look like, what are the facts/statistics, what are the
health and other life effects?
4. Bullying and Suicide Connection – Why does it happen? What are the facts/statistics?
5. Bullying and the LGBTQ community – What are the reasons behind this group of individuals being
singled out, what are the facts/statistics, does it happen at CMC, what impacts can it have?
6. Bullying: Teachers’ and Administrator’s POV – What do they do, what should they do, when do they
step in, when should they step in?
7. Microaggressions and Bullying – Things people say/do that unknowingly and knowingly contribute to
bullying
8. Bullying in Schools – What is the problem? What are the solutions? How do you change the entire
culture of a school? Does it happen at CMC?
9. Cyberbullying – What is it, who does it happen to, is it avoidable, how do you stop it? Does it happen at
CMC?
