Subject: Movie review
In our life we met everyday with different people. Different people have different
society. Every society has there own originality. We can’t mix with one to another, but we
can compare and see the difference between one society to another.
Last time we saw a movie named “Devils playground”. This movie is about Amish
society. We can saw in this movie how people live their life. I feel as myself Amish society
people are very independence. After sixteen Amish people join in the church. They believed
in god. There thoughts are different than other people. There dress up is different than other
society. Because of there dress up we can recognize them instantly. They traveled with horse
everywhere. I feel as myself they were little detached with our society.
In this movie we saw so many characters. Faron and Velda are the main characters. After
sixteen Faron's father wanted that Faron join to the Amish church, but Faron didn't want to
join in the church. He left home, and lived with his girlfriend and friends. He enjoyed his life
that time, but after few months he was addicted with drugs. He joined with drug dealers and
arrested. He wanted to quit drugs. He has too much self confidence, and at lest he quit
drugs. He was breakup with his first girlfriend and moved to Florida. He made a new
girlfriend. He wants to live a life as own.
Velda is also an Amish girl. She also wants to live her independence life, but she has some
depression. Because of her depression she wants to commit suicide. However, she took some
medical help and admitted into the hospital.
I saw in this movie they are freedom, but too much freedom spoiled their life. Some Amish
people live depressed life. They are not happy in their own position, but nobody can’t stay
happy for whole life.
Finally, I can say an Amish person has their own think of view. They are different than each
other. They can choose their life partner if they want nobody forced them. So I appreciate
their think of view. As a society, I feel Amish society is a nice society, but they need more
communication with our society.
