Feb 17,2010 Meeting
Our club sandwich board currently has our old website address, but it currently is liked to our new
address. We were approved for it to stay this way up until next year. After that, our old website
address will be deleted and our brand new board will have to have the address changed. So at the
moment that is being put off to be handled the beginning of next year.
As for our club events, A&M Open House is March 27th. You must have your dues payed to Justin, and
you must have signed forms and wavers with Sarah before you can go with the group! The forms may
have to be turned in EARLY so if you have not don’t so and you plan on possibly attending with the
group, you must speak with Sarah and get this done asap. You may follow the group if you like. We are
meeting at the Ag building parking lot by 7:45 with breakfast, and we depart at 8am. Don’t be late!
Service Project is scheduled for Feb 24th 9am to noon. Please show up to the ECHS when you can any
and all help is greatly appreciated!
Our fundraiser for this year is a collar sale set for March 6th at Walmart from 10am til we sell out. Be
sure you show up and help out the club, you are required as a member to attend at least one
fundraiser a year to be considered a full member. See you there!
Bradly mentioned a possible necropsy (an otopsy on an animal) on a horse. – This all depends on the
health of the horse, if it will have to be put down or not. Bradly will keep up with his emails and let us
know what the plan is.
TREAT is another event held each year in April for Equine Assisted Therapy. One is April 10th held in
Fort Hood, an all day event, and the other one is April 13th held at Tarleton’s Equine center. More info
will be given closer to the events.
Unfortunately our speaker had to cancel this meeting, so our officers who have applied to Vet School
handed out packets and talked about Vet Application Process throughout the rest of the meeting. If
you would like to get the packets even though you missed this meeting, you may be able to get one
from one of the officers at a meeting or contact one of us before meetings and we will do what we can
to get you what you need.
