Faith Principles Inherent in the Mission of
Catholic Education




Catholic Education is rooted in the person of
Jesus.
Religious Education and faith formation are
rooted in a biblical spirituality and Catholic
tradition.
The spiritual dimension of the person is an
essential factor in every person’s education.
The partnership of family, church and school is
essential to Catholic education.
The faith journey is formative in developing a deeper
relationship with Jesus.
Liturgical Celebrations
Liturgical Celebration is a way of responding to life,
and when life is recognized as a gift from God, it is a
way of responding to Him.
There are five liturgical seasons throughout the year.
These seasons celebrate Jesus’ life, death and
resurrection.
The
liturgical
seasons
and
corresponding colours for linens are: Advent (purple),
Christmas and Epiphany (white), Lent (purple), Easter
(white) and Ordinary Time (green). School liturgies
are planned in a collaborative spirit of community to
follow the Liturgical calendar.
