ADVANCE QUESTIONS TO HAITI – ADD.2
SWEDEN

Sweden would like to ask the Government of Haiti what further measures can
be undertaken or are being planned by the authorities to reduce or even
eliminate violence against women and children? Sweden is pleased to note that
the Government of Haiti has developed a number of projects to improve the
dangerous situation for street children, but would like to know what further
steps can be taken such as accommodating them in safe shelters? How can
minors in domestic service be better protected?

Sweden would like to know if there are any plans for simplifying legal
procedures to decrease the time of pre-trial detention, especially regarding
minors?
