SUMMARY OF COLLABORATIVE INTERESTS

A summary of individual applicant’s of each team member’s (if group application) potential interests related to participation in an interdisciplinary collaborative research group, past experience with collaborative research or creative activities, and the research/creative skill sets the applicant believes they will bring to the collaboration (up to two pages in length).

EXTERNAL INTERDISCIPLINARY FUNDING SOURCES, EXHIBIT VENUES, OR SIMILAR

Brief but specific descriptions of one or more potential external interdisciplinary funding sources that the applicant considers as viable avenues for the group to target in the fellowship year OR a proposal for a joint exhibition, text or similar collaboration. Descriptions should specify what interdisciplinary skill sets are necessary and include the following details:

(i) identify specific likely outlets for the proposed collaboration (proposals to funding agencies, exhibits, books, articles, etc.)

(ii) identify other potential support that might be available upon successful completion of the project

(matching funds, in-kind support, potential exhibition venues, etc.)

CAREER ADVANCEMENT

A brief statement describing how the fellowship would advance the applicant(s)’ career and the potential of the project for broader impact within the campus community (one-half page).

ACADEMIC UNIT SUPPORT

A brief statement from the applicant’s department chair, program head, or dean indicating his/her approval of their participation in the fellowship program and their support for a one course offload to be taken in either the fall or spring of the fellowship year. (Costs to hire replacement instructor to be offset by ORS)
