Dear Steve,
As promised, I am notifying Ethics that I traveled to Beijing, China as a part of a Chicago Cultural Mission
group, courtesy of Choose Chicago, the city’s tourism agency. Representatives of Chicago’s cultural
community were invited to join Choose Chicago as a part of a mission and a signing of an MOU for
future cultural exchange between Chicago and Beijing. I traveled on Wednesday, Thursday, May 13th
and returned to Chicago on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. I was there to represent the Department of
Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
My travel expenses (air and lodging) were paid for by Choose Chicago, as well as some meals.
