Protestant Reformation RAFT Assignment
In a RAFT assignment, you will take a specific role, presenting information
about a specific topic to a specific audience in a specific format. Think of this as roleplaying, put yourself in the shoes of the person you are taking on and act
accordingly.
For the Protestant Reformation RAFT:
ROLE: One of the Protestant leaders: Martin Luther, Jean Calvin, OR Henry VIII.
AUDIENCE: The Pope or the Catholic Church
FORMAT: A pre-teen style (think middle-school) breakup letter (1 page
handwritten, or ½ page single-spaced typed or 1 page double-spaced typed)
OR
A Taylor Swift Song (you can take inspiration from an existing song if you’d like, but
you need to significantly change the lyrics)
TOPIC: The decision to break away from the Catholic Church
Make sure you are using actual arguments and/or beliefs from your figure when you
are presenting your information. Even though it may be a somewhat comedic
format, I am still looking for you to present real information in your presentation of
information.
