sounds of the suffix –ed are (/ed/, /d/, and /t/). When
finger-sounding a word for spelling, students should say
the whole word, then the base word, then finger-sound the
base word, write the word then add the –ed.

We just got reading fingers from
Madelyn and family! These
Halloween fingers are going to
help us stay focused on our words
when we read! We read in the
dark because our fingers can glow
in the dark! What a fun Friday we
had!
