Welcome to Research Biology
A little about Ms. Snow…
 Graduated from Virginia Tech in 2006—B.S. in
Horticulture and minor in Business
 Teaching is my second career—worked as a
horticulturist and plant pathologist before
choosing to become a teacher!
 Currently pursuing an MEd. in curriculum and
instruction at George Mason. Enrolled in my last
class this semester!
 Moved around a lot growing up—Europe and
America—I love to travel
 Long-time swimmer—hope to do an Olympic
distance triathlon someday
 Danced for 20 years. Now I coach the BWHS
Falconettes Dance Team.
 Love to be outdoors—hiking and going to the beach
are favorites
 Huge college football fan! GO HOKIES!!!
 Have many other interests not mentioned here and
I’m always open to new ones—come talk to me
about yours!

Keys to Success in Biology:
 Attend class! Many of our experiences will happen
at school, including labs, presentations, and class
discussions. These are difficult to re-create.
 Come to class prepared—see supply list
 Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Don’t
wait until the last minute!
 Communicate with me early if you are
experiencing difficulties with the content or pace of
this course.
