You’ve got to be
kidding!!
As a culminating activity to our Human Biology Unit we are planning
a Fetal Pig Dissection. The internal anatomy of the fetal pig is very
similar to human anatomy and offers students a valuable and
unforgettable experience. The lab is presented to students as a “surgery” with
emphasis on showing respect for the “patient”. An alternative assignment will be
made available to students who do not participate in the dissection. Students who
do not take this lab seriously and who misbehave will be removed from the
classroom and given an alternative assignment. Please check off the appropriate
box below, sign, and return the bottom portion of this sheet with your child.
Please bring “old” clothes on ____________________________ if participating.

We need donations of the following items in each classroom for the lab. Please
send anything you can. Any donation will be appreciated
 dish detergent, old towels, paper towels
 latex gloves (if your child is allergic to latex have him/her bring appropriate
gloves)
 Disinfectant wipes


My child has my permission to participate in the Fetal Pig.
My child does NOT have my permission to participate in the Fetal Pig Lab.
