The Family and Consumer
Science Curriculum
focuses on the
relationships between
individuals, families, and
communities, and the
environment in which we
live. Our 7th Grade
Curriculum is based on a
Module Program where
students collaborate with
one another on projects
and activities. FACS builds
self-esteem and helps
develop positive
relationships with others
as students learn skills
necessary for real life
situations.
FACS AND FCCLA
Family, Career and Community
Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a
National organization with the
family as its central focus. FCCLA is a
career and technical student
organization that functions as an
integral part of the Family and
Consumer Sciences education
curriculum. It offers members the
opportunity to expand their
leadership potential and develop
skills for life -- planning, goal setting,
problem solving, decision making,
and interpersonal communication -necessary in the home and
workplace. FCCLA provides
opportunities for active student
participation at local, state, and
national levels.
