How WIDA Standards are used….
The WIDA Standards are used to guide our lesson planning in the ESL classroom.
The objectives are created by using the Model Performance Indicators (MPIs) listed
in our WIDA English Language Proficiency Standards and Resource Guide. These
indicators enable us to accurately present materials in a structured and effective
way in order for our students to achieve success not only in our class, but in their
content area classes as well.
