Word Study Groups. Students should be sorting their words every night!

Revising/Editing for Haunted House Projects
Virginia Studies: Special Places Project

Presentations will begin Oct. 27. Presenters names will be chosen by lottery, so all students should arrive on Tuesday ready
to present their Powerpoint. Missing flashdrives or other materials may result in a lower grade, so all students must come
prepared. Presentations will be completed on or before October 29.
The Scoring sheet to be used during the speeches is the THIRD PAGE of this Monday Memo!!!!!!

Science:

Natural Resources: forests, minerals, soil Natural Resources Test has been moved to Thursday October 30, to allow for
additional study time. The Study Guide was sent home in the homework folder last week.

3. Our fourth grade musical, The 13 Colonies, is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 at 1:30pm and
at7:00pm in the Lowes Island Gym. This musical includes all of the fourth grade, so all students are asked to attend.
Please resolve any potential conflicts with extra-curricular activities as soon as possible. We’ve been working really
hard in class for this performance, so you won’t want to miss it!! Students who are members of the chorus are asked
to wear either blue jeans or black, blue, or khaki pants paired with a red, white, or blue top for the performance
(athletic shorts are not ideal). If you have any questions, please feel free to email our music teacher, Mindy
Padworski, atMelinda.padworski@lcps.org. We are so proud of our fourth graders and just know you will be, too!

4. If you read today’s Monday Memo on Monday, please draw a Bat next to your initials in the planner tonight.
5. Reflex and Dreambox are added to the planner each week for Math Homework. Please remember to have your child
complete at least two sessions of Reflex (to the green light) and two, 20 minute sessions of Dreambox each week! Please
let me know if you have a problem with either of these at home.
6. Don’t forget your Reading Logs!!!!! The highlighted portions of the reading log are due on November 4.
