Today, I will be able to explain how events in Europe influenced the
U.S. in the early 1800s. I will also be able to tentatively explain how
the U.S. acquires the Louisiana Territory.
The following assignments are late: Turn in chapter 9 assignments
(9.1, 9.3, 9.4 and poster) ,10.1 is past due (10 pts).
Make sure you pick up a chapter 10 reading. You are assigned
to read 10.l/10.2 (266-75). Monday, we’ll be in the
library. There will be a quiz on Wednesday 18 March.
You will have homework assigned tomorrow 13 March due on the
18th


**Reasons
Constitutionally the president does have the ability to
negotiate treaties with Senate approval.
This purchase brings security to our country and doubles the
size of the nation for a reasonable price.

