How Congress is formed

How bills become laws.

What powers does the Legislative Branch have?

the House, president pro tempore, majority party, minority
party, floor leaders, whips, filibuster, cloture

Students will be able to: -Explain the duties of a member of
Congress
-Compare the jobs of a Representative and a Senator

- Describe how a bill becomes a law
STAGE II – ASSESSMENT EVIDENCE
PERFORMANCE TASK: Short class reading and
participation will be assessed. Students will be assessed on a
skill assessment activity. Students will be assessed on their
completion of guided notes. Students will be assessed on their
abilty to define vocabulary in their own words. Students will
be assessed on chart/graph analysis.
