Thai Government Statistical Data Integration
National Information Center (NIC) is established by
National Statistical Office (NSO) as a data administration in
order to collect, compile and integrate statistics data from
all government agencies into an information network in
which data and information could be linked and exchanged
among producers and users of the information, in order to
facilitate the policy formulation, the management, and the
development of the country.
How to Statistical Data Integration from Government Agency
1. Monitoring the importance situation or Hot issue
2. Specify the issues to be analyzed presented
3. Find a list of statistical data exchange system
4. Data analysis
5. Dissemination of information

How do we create Geospatial Information (1)
1. Preparing statistical data / indicators that have the area code in
Excel File and provide a base map (Base Map)
2. Create statistical data base (StatDB) and store map data in a
Geodatabase (GeoDB)
3. Import Statistical table / Indicators into a database (StatDB)
4. Link the statistical table / indicators from StatDB and GeoDB
base map with the area code. And stored at GeoDB
How do we create Geospatial Information (2)
5.
Analysis of the data layer (Legend), and color of the layer
6.
Mapping by the color of the layer and checking for the accuracy
of the map
7.
Create map file and configuration file to public through the
website and link to the web page of the NSO – GIS
8.
Presented and published as a service over the Internet by

Population Density : Population Census
Proportion of the poor : Poverty Map
Benefit
• Support the information for
planning. Set policy and
management.
• Set target area for development
or resolve problems in those
area.
• Set the budget for performance
and effectiveness in each area.
