French Revolution Timeline Project
You and a partner will spend today and tomorrow making a timeline of events for
the French Revolution. This assignment will be due at the beginning of class on
Friday.
This timeline will be done on one of the larger sheets of paper provided by Mr.
Dudgeon.
To obtain a sheet you will show me the ten events you have chosen and I will
approve of them and then you may get started on the final product. You do not need
to write out your paragraphs ahead of time you just need to have it outlined.
You will need a MINIMUM of 10 events on your timeline. Your timeline will start
with the storming of the Bastille and end with Napoleon being named First Consul of
France. This is roughly from 1789 to 1799.
Each of your 10 events will have a paragraph describing the event. For each
paragraph you must describe the events significance to the French Revolution (Why
is it important?).
This assignment will be worth 50 points.
10 Points for your 10 events
20 Points for your paragraphs
10 points for spelling and grammar
10 points for use of class time/neatness
Put BOTH names on the back of the poster. Please add color and whatever
illustrations you would like. Make sure it is easy to identify the 10 events, the events
are in chronological order and the date they occurred is listed.
