The “Selection Criteria and Categories of Awards” document and Application form may be downloaded from the Power
Institute website: http://www.arts.usyd.edu.au/power/ or can also be emailed by request.

Attach proof of Australian citizenship.
3.
Examples of work.
Category A: Enclose one CD/DVD/USB clearly labelled with your name. It should contain no more than 5 digital images
of your work. Applicants who are performance artists, video or multi-media artists may submit one CD/DVD or USB
memory drive.
Category B: Enclose no more than 6 pages of samples of your work, eg. journal articles, abstracts, and catalogues.
Category C: Enclose digital images of art works or samples of articles, etc. as described for Categories A and B.

Attach supporting documentation to the completed application form. (Please use paperclips, do not staple or bind
material).
Submit the original + 4 copies (5 in total) of the application and attachments (only 1 CD/DVD/USB) to:

8. Objectives
Attach up to two (2) A4 pages explaining:
What you plan to do in Paris. Why you want to do it. What you hope to achieve in Paris in relation to your career development.
Your project must be Paris specific.
9. Availability for Residency
The studio is available from 1 January until 31 December 2017. Please indicate preferred quarterly period you would be able to take up the
residency. Category A applicants please nominate your preference for a 3 or 6 month stay. (i.e. Jan-Mar, Apr-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec)
10. Referees
Please provide the name, address, phone number, and email address of your 2 referees, and forward the attached information for referees
to them. If you are applying under Cat.C as a PhD Research Student of the University of Sydney, one referee must be your supervisor. The
reports must be returned directly to the Cité Selection Committee by 21 July 2016. The Committee will not contact your referees regarding
outstanding reports.

show how their project will specifically benefit by a stay in Paris.
Please provide a reference in support of the applicant’s qualifications, ability and experience. In addition, the extent the
applicant is likely to benefit from a period of residency in Paris. It would help the selection committee to know how long you
have known the applicant and how you are associated (e.g. lecturer). Your reference is confidential.
