Experience

Chris Russell advises public and private companies at all stages of growth in a variety of corporate matters. He has broad transactional and corporate governance experience, representing venture capital firms and financial institutions in investments in emerging growth companies. Chris represents emerging growth companies in private financings ranging from seed-round financings to advanced-stage financings, as well as advising on corporate issues related to all aspects of an emerging growth company's business, including mergers and acquisitions.

Chris also has significant experience in private equity fund formation, and regularly advises general partners and institutional investors in connection with the formation of venture capital, real estate, buyout and other private equity funds. He has represented institutional investors and fund sponsors in the formation of approximately 100 domestic and foreign private equity funds and funds-of-funds. He also regularly advises fund sponsors on ongoing fund operations, upper-tier planning and regulatory compliance issues.
