Brief career history
A mechanical engineer by training, but a manufacturing engineer by trade, I had various roles in
industrial project management and HE from 1988 before moving into management research and
consultancy in 2000. I’ve been a practising manager since 2005, managing teams of up to 50 people,
with over 6 years as a technical manager in HE. My current role involves setting up a team of 24
technicians, and making sure the Diamond Building fulfils the needs of the faculty.
Relevant Experience
Extensive experience of recruiting staff in HE and industry, and providing careers advice to staff and
students.
