Michele Hardy received a Masters in Creative Writing from Johns Hopkins University in
1998. She is an associate professor of English at Prince George's Community College
and also instructs online courses for UMUC's English and Writing Department.
At PGCC, she leads classes in EGL 1020 Comp II: Writing About Literature for the
Honors Program and also teaches EGL 1010 Comp I: Expository Writing. For over ten
years, she has instructed EGL 2150, a creative writing workshop where students engage
in the creation of original fiction, poetry, and drama. Michele's classes are characterized
by dynamic interaction between instructor and student and a strong emphasis on
developing critical reading, thinking, and writing skills. Michele is also a former
coordinator of the Humanities Collegian Center at PGCC, a student-focused center that
promotes academic excellence and appreciation of the humanities discipline. She is a
published poet and is currently working on a manuscript entitled <i> Waiting for
Grace.</i> She resides in Columbia, MD.
