TITLE: Director, Admissions, Records, and Registration
CODE: 0345
FUNCTION: Plan, organize and direct the implementation and maintenance system activities
associated with the Academic Support Area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze and develop operational policies, procedures
and systems. Develop goals and objectives of units within area of responsibilities. Oversee staff
and operations for systems development area. Ensure timely and accurate implementations.
Develop recommendations for policy and procedure for training and staff development. Make
recommendations for hiring and dismissal.

REPORTS TO: Senior AVP for Student Enrollment Services
SUPERVISES: Evaluate; Discipline.

INTERNAL CONTROL: Responsible for the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system
of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that department operations are effective
and efficient, department assets are safeguarded, department financial information is reliable, and
the department complies with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to standard office conditions; Repetitive use of a
keyboard at a workstation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in education, public administration,
business administration or related field and a minimum of five years of program and
supervisory/management experience in student services and/or the records management area, in a
progressively responsible capacity, in an institution of higher education.
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions
allocated to this classification, may render the position security sensitive, and thereby subject to
the provisions of Section §51.215 Texas Education Code.
