Learning Internet E-mail & Social Media
Social media is the blending of technology and social interaction for the purpose of communication and
co-creation in today's world.
Learning how to use E-mail & Social Media responsibility is an essential 21st century skill that will enable
you to communicate, create, co-create, and manage your online presence in today’s web cultures.
Currently E-mail & Social Media tools are involved at every level of web interactions. Whether you are
applying for a job or blogging, the web presence you create today will follow you many years and may
have, for better or worse, a significant effect on your current and future, education, employment and
volunteer opportunities.
Below are a set of example topics areas (complete with links to GCFLearnFree.org a public resource of
Goodwill Industries NC).
These areas I feel would be beneficial to students in demonstrating the understanding of current E-mail
