The temperature stabilization is a linear increase across the length of the beam. This is
directly proportional to the value for K. Note that it takes about .5 seconds for the
temperature in the beam to stabilize for both cases.
Problem 3:
COMSOL Results:
MAPLE Results (Exact Solution):
The COMSOL results show the piecewise input across a unit length of 1. The COMSOL
results line up with the MAPLE solution. A better accuracy can be achieved with a finer
mesh or a smaller time-step (mainly for MAPLE). For comparison, the results are
accurate enough to make conclusions.
