Specific Job Description:
The Senior Technical Lead is responsible for achieving the technical objectives within
IS&GS E&T with the specific responsibilities as follows:
Strategic
• Support the development of strategic plans on how we can grow our footprint in the UK
and Europe market aligned to industry trends and sector objectives
• Develop a solution portfolio of offerings with service wraps we can go to market with
aligned to the mid and long term objectives of the sector
• Develop business cases for R&D initiatives
• Communicate vision and capability offerings to the team and wider company
Business Development
• Develop whitepapers, case studies and playbooks as BD aids
• Support qualification, positioning, bid and other lead generation / business development
activities
• Actively engage with the business to build a positive brand
Operational
• Develop and maintain an Engineering governance framework and process (Design,
Build, Test, Deploy and Run activities)
• Provide technical direction to develop fit for purpose and fit for use solutions to our
clients – development of story boards, high level designs and solution designs

Identify and present opportunities to improve operational outcomes
Implement approved initiatives
Develop Team Charters to ensure the RACI is clearly defined

• Develop and maintain a high performing team to meet the sector and programme

• Strong design and engineering experience in sector; e.g. Architect, Chief Engineer

Standard Job Description:
Manages technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and
risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for
coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance
assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Ensures analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept,
design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Directs the
logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total
systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Manages the functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements
allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into
hardware and software specifications.
Typical Minimum Education & Experience:
Ideally require Bachelors degree from an accredited college and capability typically
achieved through extensive professional experience. Will also consider individuals with
equivalent experience / combined education. Considered the most senior authority in
the discipline.
