CIVIL WAR TRADING CARDS

For this assignment you will be making a set of Civil War trading cards. You will choose six (6) topics (one for
each card). The front of the card will have a picture, name, and if applicable, the Union or Confederacy. On the
back you will write a “mini essay” about the topic telling about it and its significance in the Civil War. The “mini
essay” will have to be cited (telling me where you get your information).
Front of Card Must Contain:
[ ] – Picture of the person/battle
[ ] – Name of person/battle
[ ] – Union or Confederacy (leader or victory)
Back of Card: MINI ESSAY
[ ] – A paragraph (6-8 sentences) about the topic
(Who/What is it and what is the significance in the war?)
[ ] – Written in YOUR OWN WORDS (NO COPY AND PASTING! PLAGIARISM = 0 pts.)
[ ] – Websites may be used for all six of your topics, or you may use books from the library.
[ ] – Citation (Where you got your information from)

Select 2 columns and then reduce spacing to 0 (the width should have moved to 3.95”)
Press and Hold Enter
Stop once you get to the bottom of the right hand column on page 2. Now you can use your
mouse to click between the columns on both pages.
Miscellaneous Information
On the other side of this paper, I have provided an example of the front of the cards. In order for
your paragraphs to match-up with your photos when you glue them together, you must type the
information in the column opposite the photo.
You may simply copy and paste the photos onto page 1. The example of the photos that I
have provided for you are in this order:
