I’ve finally heard some good news from Neeli. Sort of. Apparently she’s working again.

A wealthy woman visited the refugee camp where Neeli is staying. She took pity on Neeli and
offered her a job. It doesn’t sound like the most desirable work, though.

Apparently Neeli is working at as a servant for the wealthy woman. Cleaning and cooking.
Things she should not be doing in her condition. I’m not so sure the woman has Neeli’s best
interest in mind.

Neeli’s letter said that she overheard her new employer bragging about Neeli’s disability to one
of her friends. Neeli seems happy to be working. But if you ask me the woman treated the
refugee camp like a kennel.

I spoke with my contacts from the CIA about pulling some strings to bring Neeli to the United
States. I can’t say much. But let’s just say that he was sympathetic to Neeli’s cause. I should
hear back from him soon.
