MOCK TRIAL
Directions: We will be conducting a mock trial in class. The goal will be to try to mimic an
actual trial as close as possible. Each member of the class will have a specific role in the trial.
There will a judge, clerk, bailiff, prosecution, defense, defendant, witnesses and the remaining
members of the class will be the pool of available jurors. As a class, we will come up with what
the defendant is being charged with, and then conduct the trial process from start to finish from
there. Your cooperation, active participation, and completion of this handout will result in a quiz
grade.
