Separating Loan Periods
New Functionality in Version 6.1
• In the present version of Voyager –
2001.2.1 – we are able to set a maximum
number of items a patron group can
borrow but not set limits based on different
item types. For example we could allow a
patron group to check out only 50 items
but not limit them to only 3 video
tape/DVD’s.
• With Voyager 6.1 we will be able to…
– Define the total number of all items that may
be borrowed for all policy groups
– Indicate the total number of all items that may
be borrowed within a single policy group
– Specify how many of each item type maybe
borrowed at both levels
– Set specific parameters for each patron
group/item type combination
In System Administration within Patron Groups a charged
items limit for a specific patron group can be set
And….
Limits for specific item types can also be set.
It is not required to set a
charged limit for all patron
groups
Within the Policy Definitions for each Policy
group in the patrons tab we ...
set within the rules window the maximum items
that may be borrowed by the policy group. Then…
Limits for specific item types for each patron group
are set within the Matrix Tab so that….
When you are charging and the patron has
reached the limits for their group
