 Quorum has been established with 4 voting members; Butler, Cajuste, Dato, Smith.

Approval of Minutes – October 19th, 2015
 Senator Butler: Motion to approve the minutes from the October 19th meeting. Second.
All in favor. Moved.

Approval of Agenda
 Senator Smith: Motion to strike out Senator Padgett’s absence appeal. Second. All in
favor. Moved.
 Senator Dato: Motion to approve tonight’s agenda as amended. Second. All in favor.
Moved.

Guest Speakers
 Chairwoman Cassidy Keefe – Round table is this week and we have Osprey Voice in 2
weeks. Last one for the semester until January. It will be Nov. 16-18.

Remarks of the Chair – sgaspt@unf.edu
 Senator Butler wants to know if the smoke free initiative can be enforced. There is a
question on next Osprey Voice. Come into senate and committee prepared with questions
and new ideas. Tonight we will be discussing on how we can expand the senator packet. I
want to know your opinion on if we should introduce this to senate.

 Absence Point Appeal Hearing: Senator Padgett
 Creation of legislation – Subsection F is all new material. My hope out of this bill is so
that every time someone authors a piece of legislation, there must be some sort of
supporting material to better prepare senators to vote. Pros and cons: cons = more work
for person that drafts the bill and sending out to each senator.
 Robert’s Rules suspended for discussion.

 Senator orientation, this Saturday 9:30AM. Wear a Hawaiian T-shirt. Bring some kind of
idea for next meeting.
