Whereas, it is Ithaca College’s responsibility to provide a proper, and safe
housing arrangement for students who choose to live on campus,
Whereas, every student is required to fill out a room/apartment condition
report
Whereas, students are held liable for any damages not reported on the
condition report,
Whereas, the online condition report is incredibly vague,
Whereas, students are required to submit a condition report 24-48 hours
after checking in,
Whereas, there is insufficient time to accurately assess the condition of a
student’s room and/or apartment to formally report to Residential Life,
It is resolved that, the Ithaca College Student Government Association
formally recommends to Residential Life that students be given one (1) week to
submit a room/apartment condition report
It is further resolved that, Residential Life revamp their online condition
report to be less vague and more user friendly to students.
