General Rules and Regulations
This show is open to all Junior exhibitors between the ages of 8 through
19, who live in any Fulton County or Peoria County School Districts
including all of Farmington School District. This includes 4-H or FFA
members who belong to recognized clubs located in the above areas. (A
person must not have reached the age of 20 before January 1, 2011)
No entry fee will be charged.
All exhibits must be placed by 7:00 a.m. on the day of the show. No
livestock will be stalled before 6:00 a.m. Scales closed by 8:00 a.m. –
No exceptions.
Judging will begin at 9:00 a.m on both days. Swine will show
immediately following the sheep show on Friday. Rabbits will show
following the Swine Show. Entries will be released immediately upon
completion of that department’s show.
The decision of the judge is final.
All exhibits must be the property of the exhibitor and he or she must be
able to show proof of such.
ALL ANIMALS MUST MEET STATE LIVESTOCK HEALTH
REQUIREMENTS.
Any protest concerning the livestock show or animals exhibited must be
made in writing with a deposit of $25.00 and presented to the
superintendent in charge before the show ends.
Pens and stalls will be provided. No bedding will be furnished. No tents
will be provided. WE WOULD APPRECIATE THAT YOU
REMOVE ALL BEDDING MATERIALS AFTER THE SHOW
AND BEFORE YOU LEAVE.
Only the exhibitors of an animal will be permitted in the show ring.
Trucks may be parked in the designated area only.
See exhibit classes for rules concerning entries per exhibitor. Use entry
blank provided.
Not responsible for accidents or injury should any occur.
Nine premiums will be awarded for each class: 15, 10, 9, 7, 6, 5, 5, 5, 5
Gates will be locked from Friday at 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on
Saturday.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we would appreciate that you
bring you own shade or tarps.
DIVISION 1. SHEEP –

1. An exhibitor may show only (2) ewe lambs, and (2) wethers.
2. All breeding stock must be purebred.
3. In wether class, all breeds will show together and will be weighed on the
portable scales on the grounds. If both wethers fall into the same class,
then another Junior exhibitor must show the other wether.
4. Wethers should be sheared.
5. All sheep must be docked.
6. All sheep shown must have been lambed on or after Jan. 1, 2011.
7. On show day if a ewe class is less than 3, the class will be combined with
All Other Breed class.
8. Sheep Showmanship class: All ages show together.
CLASS 100 – Pee Wee Class – Exhibitor under 8 yrs. old
CLASS 110 – Suffolk Ewe Lamb
CLASS 120 – All Other Breeds – Ewe Lamb
CLASS 130 – Wether Type Ewe Lamb
CLASS 140 – Wether –Subclass 1, 2

DIVISION 2. SWINE – Steve Kiesewetter (Supt.)

1. An exhibitor will be allowed to bring only (2) barrows and (1) gilt.
2. All barrows and gilts will be weighed on the portable scales on the
grounds. Classes will be divided according to their weight. All breeds
will show together.
3. If both barrows fall into the same weight class, then another Junior
exhibitor must show the other barrow.
4. Barrows shown in the Pair of Barrows class do not have to be litter
mates.
5. All gilts both purebred and crossbred will show in the same class and
will be divided by weight.
6. All swine must have farrowed on or after Jan. 15, 2011.
7. Swine Showmanship class: age brackets on the day of the show.
8. Barrows and gilt cannot weigh more than 235 pounds.

CLASS 200 – Pee Wee Class – Exhibitor under 8 yrs. old

DIVISION 3. BEEF – Dan Kiesewetter (Supt.)

1. An exhibitor will be allowed to bring a maximum of 3 head – either
steers, heifers, or a combination.
2. All steers will be weighed on the portable scales on the grounds. Classes
will be divided according to weight.
3. Decision on weight of steers and Class 350 heifers will be considered
final at the time of weighing. Classes listed below will be offered only if
number of entries are sufficient to merit all classes. 3 head constitutes a
breed.
4. All Purebred and Registered heifers will be shown by age if class size
merits. Registration Papers must be presented to the Beef Supt. For
registered heifer classes on the day of the show.
All Breed Heifers and Steers must have Registration Papers
Please fill in DATE BORN for heifers on the entry blank.
5. Class 350 (all other breeds and crossbred heifers) will be shown by
weight with the number of classes to be determined by number of entries.
6. All cattle must have been born on or after Jan. 1, 2010.
7. Showmanship classes: age brackets determined on the day of show.
CLASS 310 – Registered Angus Heifers – Subclass 1, 2
CLASS 320 – Registered Hereford Heifers – Subclass 1, 2
CLASS 330 – Registered Shorthorn Heifers – Subclass 1, 2
