Educator Preparation Standards Module
COURSE BY THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY
INTRODUCTION
Here at Ohio State University, we developed an online module to address
State specific requirements for licensure. The Office of Educator
Preparation prepared the following areas of focus: Resident Educator,
Ohio Operating Standards, Ohio Standards for Professional Development,
Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession, and Value-Added Progress
Metrics all of which are neatly condensed as units within Module I.

MODULE I
This module will provide candidates with an overview of the specific Ohio
educator standards and requirements that are expected of practicing
teachers. Module I has four quizzes: one in each unit 2-5 (pass rate
required = 80%). In addition, unit 6 requires you to go to Battelle for Kids
and complete a module in which you will submit the completion certificate
to the EdPrep@osu.edu email account. The use of different technology is
embedded in each unit. It is hopeful that the candidate can use the
demonstrated technology or allow it to open up ideas that they may find
useful in their classrooms with their students.
What do I need to view the module?
If you plan to use a laptop or desktop computer, you will need to download
the free iTunes program (compatible with both Mac and PC):

Please refer to the tutorial videos above for instructions on downloading
and accessing the module content. Be aware that the units download in
reverse order. It is best to stay in order of the module, not the download.
