was reached.
Benchmarks were reached for all courses. Students can demonstrated an Advanced
level of proficiency in the target language in speaking, writing.
3. Summarize the major assessment results for courses/programs in your area.
The assessment results were very positive. There was no pattern of deficiencies
seen through the assessment commentaries.
4. Summarize what changes have been made or are planned to be made as a result of
the assessments.
The positive outcome of the SLO demonstrated great results in:
Students can now:
 Draw from general contextual clues, redundancy, paraphrase or restatement in
order to understand the literary message.
 Understand short simple narratives (live or recorded material), within highly
predictable and familiar cultural contexts.
 Comprehend spoken language better when content has been previously
presented in an oral and/or visual context; determine meaning by recognition of
cognates, prefixes, and thematic.

These was discussed individually since results vary depending on the instructors.
(a) Have the recommended changes been implemented?
Changes have been passed to the new faculty hired who is teaching SPA 4 this
Fall 2015 semester.
(b) Has the follow-up textbox been filled in on the SLO online system?
N/A
(2) How have the findings led to improved student learning?
We continue to explore and now we have made it clear to all adjuncts to submit a
report of student’s learning performance at the end of this semester.

8. What resource requests are planned as a result of the assessments?
We are requesting a Spanish tutoring lab.
