A new bridge between HEC Paris and Bangalore in the software industry
Jouy-en-Josas, December 6th 2007
Indian software companies such as Cognizant Technology Solutions, Infosys Technologies, HCL,
L&T Infotech, Wipro Technologies, Satyam, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), are leading the
pack of Indian corporations investing in France.
To serve the management needs of Indian companies present in France and French companies active
in Bangalore, HEC Paris and the Indian Institute of Management of Bangalore (IIM B), with the
support of the Greater Paris Development Agency, have decided to increase their cooperation: already
partners in student exchanges, they have agreed to open up exchanges to faculty as well.
The announcement was made at the IIM Bangalore by T.Jacquillat, Chairman of Greater Paris
Investment Agency, Prof. V.Nagadevara, acting director IIM Bangalore, Prof. JP Larçon (HEC Paris),
and Prof. S.Raghunath (IIM Bangalore). It happened at the panel discussion on “alliances, joint
ventures and acquisitions in the Euro Zone” held in the general management program for IT
executives of IIM B.
In 2006 France was the third largest country for foreign direct investment after the United States and
the United Kingdom.
