TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN MATHEMATICS THIS YEAR:
1) YOU WILL NEED:
a) Textbook: Precalculus (Larson)
b) Notebook: A Spiral Notebook or Binder JUST FOR MATH!!!
c) Calculator: TI-83 or TI-84
2) YOU MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
a) your own work and behavior
b) attending classes on a regular basis (no cutting)
c) arriving to class on time (no lateness)
d) bringing required materials to class every day (notebook, pen, pencil, calculator)
e) completing homework assignments everyday. In accordance with district and school
policy, work missed due to absence (legal, sickness, cutting, truancy, lateness, field
trip, etc.) must be made up.
It is the student’s responsibility to find out what work was missed and to see that it is

f) being ready for quizzes and tests and making corrections to all returned test papers
g) seeking help when you do not understand the material (extra help periods are posted in
classroom), bring in notes and specific questions
h) maintaining and organizing a mathematics notebook and taking accurate notes
3) CLASS POLICIES
a) Homework: homework will be assigned at least four times per week in accordance with
the District’s Homework Policy. At teacher’s discretion, homework may be collected
and/or graded.
b) Class Participation: each student is expected to participate actively in class discussion
and homework review each day.
c) Grades: Your marking period grade will be based on the following:
