1. Logbook: composition notebook or spiral notebook
 (preferably with holes, to put into a binder)
2. Label your book with the following information (neatly printed or written in
marker on a labeled glued or taped on), large enough to see:
 Name
 Title of your project (The Effect of … on…)
 Grade
 Year (2015-2016)
3. ADD A PAGE NUMBER TO EACH AND EVERY PAGE (BACK AND FRONT).
4. Page 1: Title this page “Table of Contents.”
The first 3 entrees should include:

 Staple/tape your Proposal into your journal (print it out)

 List all materials needed for your experiment
 Be specific, add amounts of each material needed
 (You’ll add more to it later)
Remember, this is your logbook.
 You MUST document everything you do in your experiment into this book, and date
each entry.
 This includes setting up your experiment, taking measurements, making
observations, changing any part of your experiment, etc..
 You can add pictures as well.
 Any labels, MSDS’s, instructions, manuals, should be placed in your logbook once you
get your materials and start your experiment.
Your journal will be graded as part of your project.
Journal assignment #2 (completed logbook) will be assigned in a few months.
