 Societies of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) – Vice Presidency:
Organizing for 2011 fall and 2012 spring semester events in advertising the society
(stands, Posters, Interviews at the official newspaper…), meetings with the
Mechanical Engineering chairperson for encouragements and financial support and
sponsorships.


Outlook (AUB’s Independent Student Publication since 1949): Staff Writer and
Photographer. I was accounted, besides a new weekly private editorial column to
discuss the philosophy of being and existence, to weekly events coverage as a
photographer and a staff writer, which enhanced my journalism potentials. I
participated in investigations. A private webpage is being built on the AUB
website to post my works since the beginning of my journey in Outlook, where
photos and articles can be accessed.
November 2010 – June 2011
Societies of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) – Public Relations:
I have organizing “The Career Development Professional Campaign” and the “RC
Boat Race Competition” Events among the rest of the SME team. In “The Career
Development Professional Campaign”, I contacted Ms. Manal AbdelSamad, a
director in the ministry of Finance to introduce the idea of E-taxation to AUB

students, Mrs. Rana El Shmaitelly, the founder of “The Little Engineer”, to present
advices to the future engineers, and “Toastmasters International” Club at AUB to
improve engineers’ communication abilities.




American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME): Member. Attended a field
trip to the Jieh Power Plant.

Outlook (AUB’s Independent Student Publication since 1949): Photographer and
Web-master Assistant. I have been covering numerous events in AUB as a
photographer and was awarded the permanent batch. As a webmaster assistant,
I have been granted access by AUB’s CNS, Computer and Networking Services,
to add and delete articles posted on the AUB website designed for Outlook. I also
wrote few articles as a contributing writer, and so I am familiar in journalism.

Debate Club: Member. Organizing a debate between students of different beliefs
about the existence of God and some people’s problem with religion.

High School Improving:
o After acknowledging the gaps in my formal high school, my friends and I
formed a small group, as a volunteering work, that aimed into organizing
events at the School and improve their academic lives. Events included:
Student Elections and committee, Football tournament, and university
majors awareness.

Introduced Toastmasters International Society at the AUB to my old High
School, “Al Iman School”, aiming into improving high school students’
communication abilities with the principal and demand their rights as
students.
Our work included progress, evaluation and demand reports.
Suggested cooperation between Iman School Principal and AUB office of


Investigating Cosmology, metaphysics, and religious studies through books
reading, attending debates and watching online discussions. In general, reading
about the philosophy of God and existence through understanding atheistic and
theistic arguments and perspectives from a very neutral viewpoint.

Reading books concerning spiritual enlightenments and practicing meditation.

Sports: swimming, jogging, ping pong, gymnasium.

Downloading and/or watching online movies and TV series. Social Networking
through numerous website (Facebook, tumblr, twitter, Google+, …)

Listening to music, usually pop/HipHop, but includes also rock, traditional
Lebanese, classic and rap.

First Prize winner for memorizing the “Jeze’e Amma” part of the Holy Qur’an. I
won an ancient ottoman golden coin.

Community Services:


Quar’oun Area, West Bekaa:
o
Assisting the municipality in the rehabilitation project at the local spring.
Our project required that we build a new foundation for the floor by
digging the floor, holding steel bars together, fulling the floor with
concrete. After that, we built benches and planted flowers, built new walls,
for the old ones were not well supported. Finally, we constructed two
windows beside the spring room for fresh air flow.

Initiated a garden project right at the entrance of the area, where we had
to build a new basement using the same method and prepare the land for
planting.

Ersal City: Entertaining children, helping in building benches and preparation for
a small festival for town.

Taanayel Area: Building traditional Mud houses in collaboration with Arc-enciel
Foundation.

Shmestar Area: Volunteering in painting public properties with support to local
municipality.

Shmestar Area: Photographer in designing a website for the city, and so I had to
pass by every street in Shmestar area and take pictures.
