The Center for Student Success
Pipeline
A Guide for Faculty & Staff
Pipleline is an early alert system designed to
promote student success and retention by
identifying students who are at risk and
experiencing academic, personal, or judicial
difficulties.
Enables us to identify students who are at
risk and begin intervention with students as
soon as a problem is identified.
Allows us to track all contacts and
intervention efforts, and share information
appropriately with the student and others
campus partners working on the case.
Pipeline
Faculty and staff make the initial contact
with students before submitting a
Pipeline case.
By showing concern for a student’s
academic success and personal wellbeing, they are providing the first level of
intervention.
Our Expectations of Faculty &
Staff Before Submitting a Case
Contact should be made in person, via
Bergen e-mail, and/or by telephone.
If the student does not respond, or you
feel the student needs extra support, a
Pipeline case should be submitted.
