Helpful Hints for Teacher’s Pet
1. Students should know vocabulary words: share, bursting, noises, noticed, quiet,
wonderful, suddenly, sprinkled.
2. What happens at the beginning, middle and end of the story?
3. What is the setting of this story at beginning of the story? Does the setting change – if so
where does the story end?
4. What is the problem in the story? How is the problem solved?
5. Why are the animals staying at the school for a while?
6. How does Miss Fry feel about the pets?
7. Who brings an animal and what animal they bring – what do the animals do?
8. How would you describe each character?
