Background and Design Elements
In any engineering field, the design process is critical to the work flow and

fully documented. Complexity of tools, severity of deadlines, and uninformative
records all interfere with complete design process documentation. The purpose
of the archiving tool is to enable full and robust accounts of the entire design
process in a simple and transparent manner.
Implementation
As ease of use is the first priority, features like dragand-drop and auto-archiving are integrated within the
client. To fully document the process, files are
associated with projects and can have descriptions. An
intuitive corresponding website exists to manage the
underlying backend, access updated files, and publish
and distribute datasets. Addressing the issue of
documenting project files and projects themselves,
MediaWiki pages can be automatically generated and
further written by project members .
