1. For the sanitary sewer services listed in the alternates, Do we trench back to sewer mainline
in Cross st and start lateral at this point or lower just enough to avoid conflict with
new drainage or to have enough cover with proper pitch?
a. Require enough coverage with proper pitch. If it can be performed from the location
at the lower walk, that would be great.
2. Also, one of the houses listed for new sewer is #107. It appears from the sewer as-builts the
sewer lateral to house #107 is coming from the back of house on Pine street. Not sure the
reason for new sewer lateral, if in fact the as-built is correct and lateral is coming in from
Pine street. I would think that House #115 would possibly be a potential conflict for lack
of cover on pipe
a. You are correct. It enters the house from the back yard from Pine. Reconfirmed in
the field today.
b. Entrance of sanitary at 115 Cross St is from Fountain Ave south of the corner at Pine.
There is a cleanout located on the south elevation at the corner of the jut out for the
bathrooms.
Electrical source for site lighting shall be from 109 Cross Street panel. This is an existing 200
am electrical panel.
Coordination with Eversource for the lowering of existing gas service lines.


Existing gas service line at 107 Cross Street is plastic. Excavation by site contractor
shall be required to splice additional plastic pipe to lower service.
Existing gas services at 109 Cross St and 113 Cross St are galvanized pipe. Gas
service is in close proximity of existing domestic water service. Same excavation
shall be used to install new plastic gas service to be snaked through existing
galvanized pipe. Excavation of a bell hole at top of gas main in the street will be
required by site contractor. Eversource will provide sand for padding of new gas line
at these locations.
Revised proposal form attached.
