General Information
The Department of Anthropology, Sociology and Languages in the College of Arts and Sciences
at the University of Missouri-St. Louis includes programs in each of the three disciplines. The
faculty of this department are distinguished scholars with a common commitment to quality with
respect to teaching and research related to the global biological, cultural, and historical diversity
of humanity. We are committed to advancing the understanding of social and cultural forces that
shape the beliefs, behaviors, and relationships of individuals as members of the larger society,
